Why he is cool: Yann Arthus-Bertrand is the President of GoodPlanet, a non-profit organisation created in 2005 to raise public awareness on environmental protection and to find concrete answers to the ecological crisis. His aerial photographs, inseperable from the texts which accompany them, invite us to ponder upon the evolution of our planet and the future of its inhabitants.

Cool facts: Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a renowned and internationally recognised French photographer.

He has produced over 60 books of his landscape photographs taken from helicopters and balloons. Yann Arthus-Bertrand's current project is called 6 Billion Others which aims to collect the experience and philosophy of the life of the world’s inhabitants through filmed interviews.
